In October 2022, my sister and her fiancé got married and planned to have their honeymoon in May 2023. They would take a cruise from Norwegian Cruise Line to nine ports in Northern Europe: Reykjavík, Ísafjörður, Akureyri, Ålesund, Geiranger, Bergen, Amsterdam, Brussels, and London.

I wanted to give them a unique wedding gift, one that would not only save her and her husband money, but also time and effort. I have spent some time traveling myself and realized what an endeavor it was to plan for an ambitious trip. With my design skills and some help from my partner with in-depth research, the Honeymoon Guidebook was born!

INTRODUCTION

This guide contains a section dedicated to each of the nine ports where the Norwegian Cruise Line will take you. For each port, there are a total of six activities that were carefully hand-selected by us to help you plan your trip. We looked for the highlights of the area, local flavor, and tried-and-true recommendations from friends who lived there.

You can think of this guide as a sort of treasure hunt.

As you go on your trip, you can use the little check boxes next to the title of each activity to mark the ones you have completed.

Once your trip is over, send us back a picture of these pages and we’ll help you finance it! We’ll collect the activities you’ve done, check their price tag, and send you a transfer to cover your total trip expenses up to $500.

We hope you find in this guide a fun way to plan your amazing trip, a little help funding it, and a cute memento to keep so as to remember this trip forever!
